Hydration & glow

  • Always use pure, filtered water.
  • Do not add highly concentrated acids, alcohol, or fragrances.
  • -For sensitive skin types, always patch test on a small area first.

How long and how often should I submerge my face?

• Between 10 and 20 seconds at a time, for a maximum of 2 to 3 minutes.

• Prolonged contact with ice water can lead to redness, broken capillaries (couperose) or a tight feeling. Shorter immersions create the desired effect: vasoconstriction followed by rebound blood flow.

• Start with 2 to 3 times per week. Increase gradually or maintain this frequency depending on how your skin reacts to cold therapy.

• Use it after taking a shower or bath, in the morning and/or evening.

• Always cleanse your skin first and avoid makeup or impurities. This enhances the effectiveness of the cold therapy and prevents pushing impurities deeper into your pores.

Are there side effects to using cold therapy?

• The following side effects may occur with excessive or incorrect use:
• Redness of the skin
• Dryness – it’s important to moisturize your skin afterwards
• Numbness – overuse can cause temporary numbness or tingling
• Shock effect – immersing your face in ice water can initially cause a shock response. After a few uses, your skin becomes accustomed.
• Sensitive skin – people with sensitive skin may feel slight discomfort near the temples (vagus nerve). If you have an underlying health condition, always consult a doctor or dermatologist before using this product.

• After cold therapy, your skin has increased circulation. Using the CryoSplash™ bowl results in firmer, smoother skin — the ideal base for makeup that adheres better and lasts longer.

• Using the CryoSplash™ bowl has a positive effect on inflammation and redness, and can ease painful deep blemishes. It also reduces oil production in the short term.

• It’s normal for your skin to turn slightly red immediately after using the CryoSplash™ bowl. This should fade within a few minutes.

• The CryoSplash™ bowl is designed to produce enough ice cubes to cool the added water to around 4°C. If this feels too cold, simply remove a few cubes before use.
